An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the 3 furlong marker involving Mahboobah (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Thore Hammer Hansen and Hobson Point (GB), unplaced ridden by Marco Ghiani.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ghiani had taken a precautionary check to avoid the heels of Beautiful Eyes (GB), which had moved slightly left-handed when being eased out of the race by its rider at the same time as Mahboobah (IRE) shifted right-handed off the rail to improve its position.
The performance of Hobson Point (GB) which finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Marco Botti could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
Following the race, Joe Fanning reported that Beautiful Eyes (GB), which was pulled up, lost action.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
