Eddie (O'Leary) suggested that we make the running with him but then we thought that they might go a bit quick. I said to Paul to do whatever he wanted. I was very disappointed with Paul that day in the Boylesports. I think he would have won there if he'd took his time on him (finished fifth that day at Leopardstown in January behind Abbey Lane). His two runs since though were moderate, at Cheltenham and Fairyhouse. It's nice to come here and get the win with him. He has loads of ability . he's a Group 3 winner on the flat. An extended handicap hurdle for four yrs old and upwards (150 = 11st 10lb) Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall; not be less than 11st 10lb Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper. Any horse rated above 150 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 150 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four year old rated above 150 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
