The Stewards requested a report from Michael Mulvany, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of The King Of Kells, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Michael Mulvany stated that he felt the heavy ground on its previous run was the reason for the poor run and that the better ground today had brought about the improvement in form when compared to its previous run.
