The winner Flying Moon (GER) appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Hamilton on 14 May 2021, where the gelding finished fifth of ten beaten 8 lengths.
Mike Smith explained that in his opinion the gelding settled better off the strong pace on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and Flying Moon (GER) was routine tested.
Approaching the final furlong, Caballero, placed fifth, edged right as Arranmore (GB), placed second, edged left, causing Thrave (GB) to be briefly checked.
However after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any horse.
