Following the race, Harry Bannister reported that Miss Brooklyn (GB), unplaced, made a mistake at the fifth hurdle and was never travelling thereafter; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that the winner, Valse Au Taillons (FR), lost both its left and right fore shoes.
