An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the bend turning into the home straight when STORMINGIN (IRE), placed third, ridden by Jamie Moore interfered with the winner, THE VERY THING (IRE), ridden by Richard Johnson. Moore was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he manoeuvred left towards the rail when there was insufficient room causing Johnson to have to take a check.
