The Starter reported that Thomas Dowson, the rider of Skycutter (FR), had used inappropriate language directed at the Starter when his mount was being reluctant to line up.
Dowson and the Starter were interviewed.
Dowson was suspended for 4 days for misconduct at the Start.
The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry into a report from the Starter that the following riders had failed to walk or jig-jog into the start, thereby causing a false start: Mark Walsh, the rider of Brazil (IRE), Jordan Gainford, the rider of Doctor Churchill (IRE), Robbie Power, the rider of Britzka (IRE), P.
Townend, the rider of Gaelic Warrior (GER), Luke Dempsey, the rider White Pepper (IRE), B.

Cooper, the rider of Hms Seahorse (IRE), J J Slevin, the rider of Prairie Dancer (IRE), Denis O’Regan, the rider of IBERIQUE DE SEUIL (FR), Darragh O’Keeffe, the rider of Doctor Brown Bear (IRE), and Tom Cannon, the rider of Forever William (GB).
The Stewards were unable to hold the enquiry due to covid restrictions within the weighing room and referred the matter to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
The Stewards noted that The Tide Turns (GB), ridden by Jack Kennedy, Hms Seahorse (IRE), ridden by B J Cooper, and Champion Green (IRE), ridden by Rachael Blackmore, jumped the first first hurdle following the false start as the riders were unable to pull up their mounts in time.
Jumping the second hurdle, Gaelic Warrior (GER), placed second, jumped right causing knock-on interference to Doctor Brown Bear (IRE), unplaced, the winner, Brazil (IRE), and Forever William (GB), unplaced, whose quarters were turned, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Gaelic Warrior (GER).
Following the race, Rachael Blackmore reported that Champion Green (IRE), unplaced, made a mistake at the final hurdle.
