An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving The Big Board (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Harry Davies, Al Simmo (GB), placed second, ridden by Clifford Lee and Jumbeau (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Robert Havlin.
Lee was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, as he allowed Al Simmo (GB) to drift right-handed without sufficient or timely correction, causing Havlin to take a precautionary check aboard Jumbeau (GB) which in turn, caused Davies to stop riding on The Big Board (IRE) for several strides.
Neil Callan, the rider of Sweet Harmony (IRE), placed sixth, dropped his whip approximately two furlongs out and subsequently struck the filly on the shoulder with his hand.
Callan was reminded of his responsibility under Rule (D)2 that he should not strike his mount in any way except for proper use of the whip whilst riding.
Following the race, Clifford Lee reported that Al Simmo (GB), placed second, hung right-handed and Rossa Ryan reported that Katey Kontent (GB), placed fourth, hung left-handed under pressure.
