Permission was given for Port Lairge (GB) and Ninepointsixthree (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that Ninepointsixthree (GB) had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Ninepointsixthree (GB), which had refused to race.
The Starter and Sam England were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also refused to race at Newcastle on 6 April 2019 and Wetherby on 1 November 2019, the matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Dew Pond (GB), placed third, lost its left fore shoe.
