A.P. Crowe, rider of Lethal Weapon, trained by C.Roche, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled. M.J. Ferris, rider of Bangonform trained by D.E.Fitzgerald, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made bad mistakes down the back and pulled up. The Stewards interviewed C.D. Timmons, rider of Rory's Brother, concerning his use of the whip in latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found C.D. Timmons in breach of Regulation 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having considered his previous good record they cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard. The Stewards interviewed S.J. Hassett, rider of Kilmurry Kid, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S.J. Hassett in breach of Regulation 10. 4. by failing to give his mount time to respond and having taken his good record into account cautioned him as to his future responsibilities in this regard.
