The sponsorship in relation to Sociologist (FR), trained by Scott Dixon, did not comply with the Sponsorship Code of Conduct.
Dixon was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that the correct sponsorship is carried.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run into the first bend involving Purple Rock (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Faye McManoman; Sociologist (FR), placed eighth, ridden by Kieran O’Neill; Shinghari (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rossa Ryan and High Command (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson.
McManoman was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to drift left carrying Sociologist (FR) off its intended line, which caused Rossa Ryan to take a pull on the rail, and in so doing caused High Command (IRE) to clip the heels of Shinghari (IRE).
Being a 7lb claimer, McManoman was offered accompaniment, but declined.
Following the race, Kieran O’Neill reported that Sociologist (FR), placed eighth, ran too free in first- time blinkers.
