Permission was given for Rumourmonger (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted in the chute and for Heatherdown Hero (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The Starter reported Rumourmonger (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Mick Appleby was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Rumourmonger (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the filly would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend, involving the winner Janus (IRE), ridden by Adam Farragher, Engrave (GB), unplaced, ridden by Dylan Hogan and Jacks Profit (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Pat Cosgrove.
The interference was found to be accidental as Jacks Profit shifted marginally left making brief contact with JANUIS, causing Jacks Profit’s quarters to be slightly turned, at the same time as Engrave (GB) shifted marginally left, resulting in Cosgrave having to take a check.
On the run to the line, Richard P Smith (IRE), placed second, shifted marginally left giving a slight bump to the winner Janus (IRE) but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
