The Stewards requested a report from Thomas Mullins, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Tara Dylan, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on her penultimate run in Clonmel when never letting herself down coming down the hill. Regarding the last start at Gowran he felt that the soft ground was against his charge. The trainer concluded by saying that today's step up in trip on good to firm going helped his charge return to form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
