Douglas impresses on second start
We're very happy with that. The reason we let him roll on was because he was so green last time and needed to learn. Even today at the road he landed in the middle of it and he's still a baby. In an ideal world he'd have a run or two more before next year. His mind is still sleeping but we knew he had a massive engine. He would have learned a lot today. We knew he had a big engine as he was doing very good things. We were taken a little aback by how green he was. We'll look at the Beresford or the Golden Fleece for him. I'd like to give him a little bit of time. He's still very babyish.
Murtagh strikes again with Windsor
I put him out in the field this morning and he was bucking and kicking,. He's a big horse and it took a bit of time for things to click into gear. He was knocking on the door. This looked an ideal race and I think he likes that ground. It probably turned a bit soft for him the last day. Everyone is mad for Galway but I think I'll let everybody go and keep him for after. That's his trip. It's great to get a winner for Paul Smith. He's been a great friend over the years and it's nice to finally train a winner for him. Denis is a very good rider. I told him to concentrate on his exams and he did. I said I'd look after him after the exams. He's good value for his 7lb and hopefully will be a big help to us for the rest of the year.
Promise To Be True now two from two
You'd have to be delighted with that. She would have learned plenty there. Something like the Debutante Stakes might suit her. We'll see where Mrs Stockwell is going with her filly (Brave Anna). She's a nice filly. She's green and she was very green first time. I thought she might be too green to win then but Seamus (Heffernan) nursed her and then she took off.
Churchill completes O'Brien/Moore treble
When he gets there he's very babyish and green. We saw that at Ascot. He's a little immature still. He got there very easily but the other horse challenged wide and Ryan said he didn't see him until late. I was delighted with the way he travelled through the race. We always thought he was very good. He had a nice run when third at the Curragh and we obviously saw what he did in Ascot. We were a little worried in Ascot as they went slow and he got there early and was green. He got to the front today and waited again. I think the Futurity is where we will go now.
Kadra back on track on quicker ground
Outsider Tara another for Carroll
She had a cracking run first time in Gowran but it all went downhill after that and she lost her confidence completely on soft ground. Kieren Fallon said she didn't go down the hill in Clonmel and it was soft last time out. She's a good ground filly. I think the world of her. Her granny won the guineas and she is a half-sister to Sister Blandina. She's in over a mile-and-a-half in Galway. I have her on the right track now hopefully.
Siamsaiocht takes the last at Leopardstown
She likes the good ground. I'll probably have to think about Cork now (Give Thanks Stakes).
