Permission was given for Equality (GB) and Rum Cocktail (GB) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries and for Spring Bloom (GB) and Water Of Leith (IRE)to go to post early.
The Starter reported that Autumn Flight (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn at 16.

Robert Cowell was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Equality (GB), placed second, ridden by Marco Ghiani, Embour (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Carver, and Albegone (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joanna Mason.
Ghiani was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had switched left off heels when insufficiently clear, causing Embour (IRE) to be checked for a number of strides and in doing so gave a bump to and unbalanced Albegone (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line, when Glamorous Breeze (GB), placed third, ridden by Neil Callan, interfered with Water Of Leith (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by James Sullivan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved the placing of Glamorous Breeze (GB) as the filly had moved Water Of Leith (IRE) left-handed off its intended line and Callan had accidentally struck Water Of Leith (IRE) once across the face shortly before the finish.
The ground lost by Water Of Leith (IRE) was deemed to be greater than the official distance of a diminishing short head between the two runners at the line.
The Stewards therefore revised the placings as follows: first Vintage Clarets (GB), second Equality (GB), third Water Of Leith (IRE) and fourth Glamorous Breeze (GB).
Callan was cautioned for careless riding as he had failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from shifting left, taking Water Of Leith (IRE) off its intended line.
The winner Vintage Clarets (GB) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at York on 11 June 2022, where the gelding finished fourteenth of nineteen beaten 11½ lengths.
The representative of Richard Fahey explained that the gelding may have benefitted from the drop from a Class 2 to a Class 3 race on this occasion, with this its first run since being gelded.
Their explanation was noted and Vintage Clarets (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ray Dawson reported that Spring Bloom (GB), unplaced, hung right.
Nicola Currie reported that Yimou (IRE), placed fifth, was restless in the stalls.
Joanna Mason reported that Albegone (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong.
