The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Nasee (GB), trained by John Joseph Hanlon, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be distressed post race
The Stewards interviewed S. Fitzgerald, rider of Not So Simple, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S. Fitzgerald was in breach of both Regulation 10.3(g)(excessive frequency) and 10.3(i)(time to respond). Having taken his previous record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended S. Fitzgerald for 1 raceday
