The Stewards held an enquiry to satisfy themselves that the equipment that Jim Crowley, the rider of the winner, Say Grace, trained by Rae Guest, weighed out with was the same that he had weighed in with.
This after Crowley had queried whether he had weighed out with a chamois.
Guest, Crowley, and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
The Stewards noted that Crowley had weighed both, out and in, within the allowed parameters and were satisfied with the explanations given.
Following the race, Thomas Greatrex reported that his saddle on Spirit Of Cimarron (FR), unplaced, had slipped and that the gelding had lost its action.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Spirit Of Cimarron (FR) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
