Michael Appleby was fined £140 as the record of vaccinations in the passport of Adams Park (GB) did not comply with the Rules of Racing.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend, involving Sweet Celebration (IRE), placed second, ridden by Stefano Cherchi; All Points West (GB), placed eighth, ridden by Luke Morris and Cafe Espresso (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Joey Haynes.
Being a 7lb claimer, Cherchi was offered accompaniment but declined.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Cafe Espresso (GB) had to be checked when crowded for room by All Points West (GB) which hung left away from Sweet Celebration (IRE), which had edged slightly left away from Ad Libitum (GB), unplaced.
Approaching 3 furlongs out, Arabian Oasis (GB), unplaced, lugged left causing Cafe Espresso (GB), placed sixth, to be steadied when tightened for room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Theodore Ladd reported that Adams Park (GB), placed seventh, was denied a clear run approaching the home turn; Edward Greatrex reported that Numero Uno (GB), unplaced, was never travelling and Jason Watson reported that Mojave (GB), unplaced, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
