The Veterinary Officer reported that the representative of Kevin Philippart de Foy had presented an incorrect horse at the racecourse stables for identification in place of Il Pescatore (IRE), which was declared to run in Race 5, the 7.
00pm race.
Philippart de Foy was interviewed via telephone.
Having heard his evidence, the Stewards referred the matter to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, and ordered that Il Pescatore (IRE) be withdrawn.
Permission was given for Great Hunter (IRE) to wear a red hood which was removed at the start.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Great Hunter (IRE), trained by Saeed bin Suroor, was late being submitted.
Bin Suroor was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
Following the race, Thomas Greatrex reported that Ciotog (IRE), unplaced, ran too free, and Ray Dawson reported that Discover Dubai (IRE), unplaced, stumbled leaving the stalls.
