Permission was given for both Ciara Pearl (GB) and Beatrice Shilling (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.
Approximately ¾ of a furlong out, the winner, Allonsy (GB), lugged quickly left-handed across the running of Loughville (GB), placed third, which was hampered and in turn inconvenienced Incensed (GB), placed fifth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Allonsy (GB).
A short distance later, Incensed (GB), placed fifth, shifted left-handed at the same time as Ciara Pearl (GB), placed second, lugged slightly right-handed resulting in Incensed (GB) having to be checked by its rider, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ciara Pearl (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final ½ furlong when Beatrice Shilling (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Callum Hutchinson, interfered with Alhattan (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Jim Crowley.
Hutchinson was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he angled his mount left-handed hampering Alhattan (IRE) which was carried off its intended line.
Following the race, Callum Hutchinson reported that Beatrice Shilling (IRE), placed fourth, was outpaced in the early stages of the race.
