An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend leaving the home straight on the first circuit involving Miss Fedora, placed third, ridden by Oscar Palmer and My Mate Polly (GB), placed second, ridden by Harry Kimber.
Being a 7lb conditional, Palmer was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
The interference was found to be accidental as My Mate Polly (GB) shift quickly right-handed before being corrected by Kimber, causing Miss Fedora to become unbalanced against the rail when tightened for room.
