The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the last hurdle involving Gentleman Joe (GB), ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed first, and Estepona Sun (GB), ridden by P. Byrnes where it appeared Estepona Sun had to switch. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P. Byrnes, stated that Gentleman Joe did cross him after the last but he was clear of him at the time. Rachael Blackmore, stated that on jumping the last upsides she had gone past Estepona Sun when she moved right on to the rail and was confident she was clear of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
