Permission was given for CAPTIAIN SEDGWICK (IRE) to go early to the start.
The Raceday privilege request in relation to Captain Sedgwick (IRE) going early to post, trained by John Spearing, was late being submitted.
Spearing was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
Accrington Stanley (GB) trained by Paul George, was late to enter the Parade Ring due to difficulty with fitting the tongue strap.
Approaching 2 furlongs out the winner Sly Madam (GB) edged slightly right-handed inconveniencing the weakening Captain Sedgwick (IRE), unplaced, which was hanging left-handed independently.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing Sly Madam (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, involving Accrington Stanley (GB), placed second, ridden by Rhiain Ingram and Atlantic Heart (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by David Egan.
The interference was found to be accidental as Egan had initially been clear of Accrington Stanley (GB) before switching his mount right-handed, by which time a free-running Accrington Stanley (GB) had improved rapidly through along his inside, causing Ingram to take a precautionary check off his heels.
An enquiry was held to consider interference 2½ furlongs out, involving Accrington Stanley (GB), placed second, ridden by Rhiain Ingram; Iskaheen (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Hollie Doyle and Adatorio (GB), unplaced, ridden by John Fahy.
Fahy was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had angled his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear of Accrington Stanley (GB), giving that gelding a significant bump which caused it to shift left-handed, and in doing so made contact with and turn the quarters of Iskaheen (IRE) resulting in Doyle’s mount becoming unbalanced.
