Leaving the paddock, Alpha King (GB), made contact with the railing, but having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Entering the bend leaving the back straight, Alpha King (GB), placed fifth, stumbled slightly, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference half-way down the back straight, when Fairmac (GB), placed third, ridden by Oliver Stammers interfered with Indianapolis (IRE), placed second, ridden by Ben Sanderson.
Stammers was cautioned for careless riding as he misjudged the gap when he edged right- handed, looking for clear running, moving Sanderson off his line.
Following the race, Connor Planas, reported that Alpha King (GB), placed fifth, ran too free.
