Permission was given for Media Guest (FR) and Captain Wentworth (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from approaching one furlong out, involving the winner Media Guest (FR) ridden by Mikkel Mortensen, and Ben Hamrash (GB), placed second, ridden by Tom Marquand.
Being a 7lb claimer, Mortensen was accompanied by a senior rider.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Media Guest (FR) placing as the gelding had moved Ben Hamrash (GB) off its intended line for a considerable distance from approaching the furlong marker, to be beaten a diminishing neck at the line.
The Stewards revised the placings as follows; First; Ben Hamrash (GB) Second; Media Guest (FR), third; Fayasel (IRE), fourth; Hezahunk (IRE).
Mortensen was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, taking Ben Hamrash (GB) off its intended line.
Following the race, Alistair Rawlinson that Bond Boy (GB), unplaced, reported that ran too free and hung right- handed and Hollie Doyle reported that Poweredbylove (GB), unplaced, never travelled.
