The Stewards enquired into incidents approaching the first bend involving Lethal Power, ridden by P.A. Harnett, unplaced, Facethepuckout, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, placed sixth, Ramiro, ridden by G.P. Brouder, unplaced, Fearless Girl, ridden by Sam Ewing, placed fourth, Sheer Bravado, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed first, Sea The Dawn, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced and Myrcella, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fifth, where it appeared that a number of horses were tight for room and checked as a consequence. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Sam Ewing and M.P. Sheehy, Apprentice Jockeys, gave their evidence in the presence of Val O'Connell. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental in nature and took no further action.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 50-85 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight is 8st 6lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
