Permission was given for Badosa (IRE) and Grid Iron Maiden (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Southbank (IRE) to be mounted on the chute.
Desert Master (GB), trained by Antony Brittain, did not enter the Parade Ring due to the jockey weighing out late as a result of riding in the previous race, which was late off.

Leaving the stalls, Yiengaa (GB), unplaced, jumped right-handed taking both Tip Top Tank (GB), unplaced, and PIPER’S FORT (IRE), unplaced, off their intended lines, at the same time as the winner, Badosa (IRE), jumped left-handed taking both Southbank (IRE) and Nevzilla (IRE), placed third, off their intended lines, causing Grid Iron Maiden (GB) to receive bumps from both sides and the jockey to take significant check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Badosa (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately one furlong after the start involving Tip Top Tank (GB), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane and Southbank (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Marco Ghiani.
The interference was found to be accidental as Ocean Bliss (IRE) had edged slightly left-handed as Yiengaa (GB) had edged slightly right-handed causing Tip Top Tank (GB) to edge further right-handed putting pressure on the free-running Southbank (IRE), whose rider had to take a significant check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Southbank (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Marco Ghiani and Tip Top Tank (GB), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane.
The interference was found to be accidental as Southbank (IRE) had shifted quickly right-handed before being corrected by Ghiani, taking Tip Top Tank (GB) off its intended line.
