C. O'Donoghue, rider of Master Speaker, trained by Martin Hassett, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount clipped heels on heavy ground in the closing stages and fell. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Giant Spark (GB), trained by Paul Midgley (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a slight abrasion on the right hind fetlock but to be otherwise post race normal. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Gymkhana (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a slight abrasion on the right hind fetlock but to be otherwise post race normal. C.T. Keane, rider of Gymkhana (GB), trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount did not act on the ground. The Stewards enquired into the fall of Master Speaker, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, just before the winning post. Evidence was heard from C O'Donoghue, rider of Master Speaker, C.D. Hayes, rider of Great Minds and D.P. McDonogh, rider of Sors. Having viewed a recording of the incident and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Great Minds trained by J.A.Stack was found to be lame post race.
