An enquiry was held to consider interference after the final flight when On The Slopes (GB), placed second, ridden by Tom Cannon, interfered with the winner Greaneteen (FR), ridden by Harry Cobden.
Cannon was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, taking Greaneteen (FR) off its intended line for several strides.
Following the race, Victor Dartnall reported that Shutscombe Hill (GB), unplaced, had a breathing problem.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Vinnie Rouge (IRE), unplaced, had lost its right-fore shoe.
