At the first fence in the home straight on the penultimate circuit Sizing Cusimano (GB), which was later pulled up, jumped left-handed colliding with the riderless Organdi (FR), resulting in Sizing Cusimano (GB) being badly hampered.
The performance of Gats And Co (GB), which was pulled up, was considered.
It was noted that David Brace could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance, other than the jockey reported that Gats And Co (GB) was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing, revealed that Gats And Co (GB) had lost its left-hind shoe and also struck into its left-hind fetlock, but was not lame.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Court Master (IRE), which was pulled up, struck into its right-fore heel and was lame on that leg.
Tom Bellamy also reported that Irish Prophecy (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had lost both front shoes.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Sizing Cusimano (GB) had spread a right-hind plate.
