An enquiry was held to consider interference after jumping the final hurdle involving Polling Day (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Nick Scholfield and Paddys Island (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Charlie Price.
Liam Harrison, the rider of JO’S RAINBOW (IRE), placed third, was also interviewed but was found not to be involved.
Scholfield was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed Polling Day (IRE) to shift right- handed when insufficiently clear, causing Paddys Island (IRE) to become short of room and Price to take a precautionary check.
Following the race, Charlie Price reported that Paddys Island (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed and suffered interference after jumping the final hurdle; Connor Brace reported that United Front (USA), placed second, ran too free; Jack Quinlan reported that Galileo Glass (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding was treated for post-race ataxia.
