The Stewards fined Paul Nolan, trainer, €130 for lodging a passport in respect of Kelvin, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. D.J. Condon, rider of Knight's Parade, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a respiratory noise in running. Evidence was heard from the parties concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards referred the matter to the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for full investigation, with a request that the findings be published in the racing calender. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Knight's Parade, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have a nasal discharge post race.
