The Raceday Stewards interviewed Gordon Elliott, trainer, of Koktail Brut, who was withdrawn yesterday due to the ground, officially described as yielding, good to yielding in places and was running today on ground officially described as the same. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that he had walked both tracks and he felt the ground on todays track, which is a totally different track, was slower than yesterdays but still not soft enough for He Can't Dance. Furthermore, Gordon Elliott requested to substitute Paddy Cleary with Mr. H. C Swan as his intended mount was a non runner. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the substitution of rider on this occasion, as provided for under the provisions of Regulation 3, and took no further action
