Approaching 2 furlongs out, the winner, The Dancing Poet (GB), edged marginally right as Oriental Art (GB), placed fourth, edged slightly left, causing the rider of Shake A Leg (IRE), placed seventh, to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of The Dancing Poet (GB).
Following the race, David Allan reported that Carrigillihy (GB), placed fifth, was denied a clear run from 2 furlongs out.
