The performance of Al Roc (FR), which finished seventh, beaten by 54 lengths, was considered.
It was noted that David Pipe could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance on this occasion other than a report from the rider that Al Roc (FR) was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post- race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Tom Bellamy reported that Templehills (IRE), placed fifth, hung and jumped left- handed.
