The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sea Spray (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that her charge appeared to benefit from the first time application of cheek pieces and was given a positive ride, which she felt had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report
J. Kearney, rider of Semantics (USA), trained by G.M.Lyons, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount missed the break
C.J. MacRedmond, rider of Miss Caruso, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he lost an iron early in this race before recovering it
