Mister Twist gets a deserved turn
He ended up winning a maiden!. Declan Queally's horse (Alvarez Eclipse) was very well fancied and he dropped away (unseated rider at start) and of Course Lizzie Doyle's horse was a non runner (High City Roller) which made things easier for him. A handicap is his next port of call. Three miles is his job. He is in again on Wednesday (at Wexford), but we shall see. We'll make up our minds tomorrow. I'd say the cut in the ground would be a help.

Hackett closes his eyes as Rock On Seamie heads for home
He was good, I was just afraid of the hill here - he travels real well and sometimes just doesn't see it out. Dan was good and positive on him. It is nice to get another one over hurdles with him. He got a fair penalty for being third in a good Grade B at Kilarney and it kind of knocked the stuffing out of us last year with him. He has dropped a couple of pound and that helped him there today. We knew that (there would be plenty of pace) and we thought that we would have something to track the whole way. As Dan said, he would have loved to have had something for a bit longer. He got caught here I think two years ago up the hill, so I just closed my eyes!. It kind of just didn't work out for him (the last day in Punchestown), he missed a hurdle or two and he was unlucky four from home when a horse in front of him missed it and shuffled him all the way back. He had to make a lot of ground from there. The last furlong he just kind of got caught for stamina then. I think he'd get it (extended 2m3f/2m4f) if things panned out properly for him, I think he is versatile enough.
Charlie Luciano not for passing in Downpatrick
Goodie Girl pops up at 33/1 for McLoughlin & Maxwell
I'm delighted for those people that have horses with me a while now. She is progressive. Conor said to me she was tough and finished out the race well. For her first run in a handicap, I suppose she will improve. I like her. We might stick to two miles over the summer and see where we go. In fairness to Downpatrick, every time you come up here they do a great job with the ground. You don't have to ring them, you just know it is going to be lovely ground.
Willie & Patrick simply unstoppable in bumpers
I probably should have won on her that day (in Kilbeggan), that form was franked.
