Isabel Williams, the rider of Frankie Faulkner (IRE), placed third, beaten by a nose had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Williams was suspended for 7 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished second.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Fiston Du Mou (FR), which was pulled up, was lame on its left fore.
