I was hoping he might win and go up a few pounds to get into the Kim Muir at Cheltenham and Eoin can ride him. Eoin is a massive team member, is in every day and is a slave to work. He won the five year old maiden at Nenagh (point-to-point) earlier and shot up the road to be here on time to ride Se Mo Laoch. Brian M McMahon, trainer
Owing to strong winds, the Stewards granted permission for fence # 7 & 8 to be omitted from this race Owing to the damaged ground in the area of fence # 2, the Stewards granted permission for it to be omitted from this race The Stewards interviewed Mr E. Mahon, rider of Se Mo Laoch, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that Mr Mahon had used the first hit for corrective purposes and the remaining use of the whip did not constitute any breach of R10(3). The Stewards therefore accepted the explanation offered by Mr E. Mahon
