Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Lethal Power, trained by J.P. Murtagh, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Wild As The Wind, ridden by W.J. Lee, Medal Of Honour (GB), ridden by J.A. Heffernan and Scoil Naisiunta, ridden by K.J. Manning. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the interference was accidental in nature and took no further action
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Lethal Power, ridden by C.D. Hayes, Bucky Larson, ridden by C.T. Keane and Ahlan Bil Zain (FR), ridden by C.P. Hoban, where it appeared Bucky Larson had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that C. D. Hayes was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended him for 1 race day
