Coen & Slattery take the opener with Winster
She's a nice filly and she won despite being on the wrong side of the track,. I told him to come up the near side but he obviously he didn't listen to me! . The near side is a fierce advantage but I suppose they broke and three of them went there. He's a bit young, I suppose, and got caught into it. It worked anyway. We fancied her but yesterday morning she was in season and the vet told me not to run her for three or four days. I took a gamble and it paid off. She's a very fast filly and five furlongs on soft ground would be up her alley but she'd go on good to firm. We'll see what mark we get after this but she could be sold, probably to America, so we'll see what happens. The lads are from Sligo and have her leased off me. It's their first horse and they only have her a month. She's still a bit weak, she's a big filly. She came to me last February, she was very light and weak and started thriving and thriving. I think she'll be a better three-year-old and she's always showed a lot of pace. I'd say that's the sire's first winner. I had to come here as the next race for her over five furlongs was the September 5th. When she was in season yesterday morning we had to take a chance.
'Smart' Optionality lands some nice bets
Kaya all class in Loder Race
We knew we had something special but until they go out and do it you don't know how special,. I've been physically ill all day and that was just a bit awesome. Robbie said they weren't coming with him and he said 'oh God I feel stupid'. He said it was just like a swinging canter for her and he just pushed her out at the end to teach her a bit. I don't think she even thinks she's had a race. Robbie just said it felt so easy and he didn't look like he was going too fast it just looked like a nice swing up the Old Vic. That's some difference. She had gone in her coat and that trouble I had with the water had really effected her. We gave her a piece of work a couple of weeks ago and she blew like a train. She just looked like a nice filly but not what we saw there. I think the problem I had really was stopping them so hopefully now it's onwards and upwards. She has loads of big entries and got the seven really easy there so I'll just sit down with John and Joanne, who own her. I'd say the phone is going to be hopping. It was hopping the last time and it's going to be really hopping this time. It would be a really brave route to hang on to her. I'll pass it on and they can make the call. She's class, that's all I can say. I was delighted to see the bit of rain, not saying she wouldn't go on it but I didn't want to run her on good to firm. Luckily she has all the big entries and we can pick and choose now she has broke her maiden if we hang on to her.
Advertise enhances reputation in the Phoenix
I've been quite bullish about this horse and luckily it's paid off otherwise I might have had to eat my words a bit,. I'm very pleased with him, it's great, and maybe we'll step him up to seven furlongs now. We'll give him a bit of a break and then go for the Dewhurst or something like that I suppose. It seems logical and he'll get further. The big question is if he'll get a mile but he'll definitely get seven. It was a great result. Obviously I was coming here with a lot of trepidation but you can tell very good horses at home, going to perform for you, got the form and did the job. If you've got a good horse it makes a difference, you don't have to struggle too much then. It was a great ride by Frankie and it's great to have him on board. As he said to me after he won the July Stakes 'send him anywhere you like' and that proved to be right. I'm thrilled to bits with him. Every run he's been held up and produced with a turn of foot but he was able to dictate today and it shows that he knows his job now.

Tremendous 54/1 double for O'Brien at the Curragh
He was working very well and running well but not winning. He kept getting placed so it's nice to get him to win and it was a nice pot and Wayne gave him a great ride. He's been a frustrating horse but hopefully he can go forward from here. Obviously the light weight was a big help. We'll go for another handicap and see what happens.
