I just thought we would take a chance when we had Colin. She was unlucky the last day, she couldn't get out. I think she is pretty useful. Peter Nolan and myself bought her very cheaply and she is after growing three or four inches and filling out. The Americans wanted to buy her after her last run and I decided not to sell her. It was nice she went and won anyway. She only cost five and a-half grand and she would be a possible for the sales race in Naas on the last day of the season. She mightn't like soft ground now. S. Foley, rider of Ciao For Now (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left coming down the hill
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong involving Ciao For Now (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed fifth, Go Girl Go, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed second, and Kiki Roberts, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first where it appeared Ciao For Now had to check slightly. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
S. Foley stated that he had to sit for a stride late on but it made no difference to him. L.F. Roche stated felt he kept a straight line throughout. C.T. Keane stated that his filly was always leaning left but felt he kept her as straight as possible. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action.
