The Stewards interviewed Thomas Gibney, trainer of Penance, regarding the late arrival of the horse into the Parade Ring. Evidence was heard from the trainer who explained the circumstances surronding the late arrival and apologised for this. Having considered the evidence and taking his previous record into consideration the Stewards fined Mr. Gibney ?250 under Rule 32 (ii) and reminded him of his future responsibilities in this regard.

A novice hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards which, at entry, are rated 113 or less, also open to horses rated 114-123
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 10lb; 5-y-o and up 11st
Penalties - Performances before 28th November for every 1lb above the rating of 113 1lb extra; On or after 28th November for each hurdle race won 4lb extra; Horses that have not run three times over hurdles and/or do not have a published handicap hurdle rating may enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper provided their performances are rated 123 or less.
