The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the final furlong involving Arthur's Victory, ridden by C.T
Keane, placed sixth, Fools Glory, ridden by A.J. Slattery, placed fourth, and Bambeano, ridden by Orla McKenna where it appeared interference may have taken place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence C.T. Keane stated that he had to slightly check as the winner passed him and shifted left. A.J. Slattery stated that the winner did cross him late but was clear at the time. Orla McKenna stated that it was only her fourth ride in public and through her inexperience she was unable to change her whip hand but that she put her hands back on the reins when she felt her mount drift left. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found that Orla McKenna was in breach of Rule 214 in that she had ridden carelessly, and having considered her record and inexperience,the Raceday Stewards cautioned her on this occasion.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards fillies only that are EBF eligible (80 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
