She doesn't like the all-weather. She ran twice on it, she ran over in Newcastle and was third in Dundalk. She ran okay at Dundalk under a penalty, I ran her back too quick, so we freshened her up. This was the last race for her this year so I was delighted she won and it's a good pot to win. Mark gave her a good ride as well, down the inside. John James Feane, trainer
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Dream Of Words, trained by J. S. Bolger, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame behind post race
The Stewards requested a report from John James Feane, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Curly Girl, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Feane reported that his charge failed to handle the surface at Newcastle AWT on her last run. Having considered the report the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
The Stewards enquired into an incident before the marker poles involving Johann Bach, ridden by R. Coakley, Stormy Belle, ridden by B.M. Coen, in the presence of Mr. Tony Redmond and Mokhalad (GB), ridden by R.P
Cleary, where it appeared Johann Bach and Mokhalad (GB) both received a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that B.M. Coen had moved across before the marker pole and caused interference, therefore found him in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended B.M. Coen for 3 days
