Permission was given for Laheg (FR) to wear a red hood to post.
Count Otto (IRE) collided with the rail leaving the parade ring, but having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
The winner, Temple Bruer (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 15 June 2023 where the gelding finished seventh of seven, beaten by 10 ½ lengths.
Michael Keady’s explanation that the gelding benefited from the re-application of blinkers and the drop in class was noted.
Temple Bruer (GB) was routine tested.
