Approaching 2 furlongs out, the winner, B Associates (IRE), edged right-handed at the same time as the rider of Slippin Jimmy (IRE), placed fourth, was looking for a run, moving Wurkin Ninetofive (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of B Associates (IRE) or Slippin Jimmy (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving Yorkstone (GB), placed second, ridden by Shane Gray, Run Cmc (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sam James, and Mister Sox (GB), unplaced, ridden by Duran Fentiman.
Gray was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting right-handed carrying Run Cmc (IRE) off its intended line resulting in James having to take a check which in turn caused Mister Sox (GB) to be carried off its intended line and Fentiman having to take a check off heels.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final ½ furlong involving the winner, B Associates (IRE), ridden by Paul Mulrennan, Honour Your Dreams (FR), placed fifth, ridden by Andrea Atzeni, and Dee See Are (GB), placed third, ridden by Tom Eaves.
The interference was found to be accidental in that B Associates (IRE) shifted sharply left-handed away from the whip before being quickly corrected by Mulrennan giving a bump to Dee See Are (GB) resulting in Atzeni having to take a check off the heels of Yorkstone (GB), placed second.
The performance of Caesars Pearl (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished unplaced, beaten by 7½ lengths, was considered.
The representative of Craig Lidster’s explanation that the filly hit its head on the front of the stalls was noted.
The Veterinary Officer subsequently reported that a post-race examination of Caesars Pearl (IRE), during routine testing, revealed the filly to have a small amount of blood present in its left nostril.
Following the race, Andrew Mullen reported that Wurkin Ninetofive (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
