Younevercall (IRE) arrived at the start with blood in its mouth.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Approximately 2 furlongs out, Younevercall (IRE), unplaced, hung-right handed despite the rider’s best efforts causing Coeur Blimey (IRE), unplaced, to be checked momentarily against the rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
There appeared to be interference shortly after the start involving Max Dynamite (FR), placed third, ridden by Ryan Moore, Coeur Blimey (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert, and Lucky Deal (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Franny Norton.
The riders were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident after which it was found that no interference had taken place.
Following the race, James Doyle reported that Younevercall (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed throughout.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Coeur Blimey (IRE), which finished unplaced and was dismounted on the course, appeared to be lame on pulling up and showing signs of heat-stress, but a further post-race examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Lucky Deal (GB), placed fourth, and Corelli (USA), unplaced, were both suffering from mild post-race ataxia.
