Upon rounding the bend into the home straight, Elisha Whittington, the rider of Poetic Force (IRE), placed fifth, had to shift her mount right-handed, off the heels of the weakening Mabre (IRE), unplaced, which resulted in the rider of Toro Dorado (GB), placed fourth, having to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held into an incident that occurred in the stable office following the third race.
The trainer David Flood, the Veterinary Officer and an Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer were interviewed.
A report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, Darragh Keenan reported that Mabre (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed off the first bend and Adam Kirby reported that Punting (IRE), unplaced, had no more to give.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Kendergarten Kop (IRE), placed eighth, lost its left-hind shoe; David Flood reported that the gelding had been struck into on its left-hind.
