Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Nifty At Fifty (IRE) had planted and refused to race once the start had been effected and was therefore deemed to be a runner.
Ratfacemcdougall (IRE), trained by Graeme McPherson, had arrived in the Parade Ring wearing a visor instead of its declared blinkers.
The correct headgear was fitted on the gelding before going to the start.
McPherson was cautioned.
The winner Ratfacemcdougall (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 23 November 2020 where the gelding finished seventh of eleven, beaten by 20 ¼ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Graeme McPherson could offer no explanation for Ratfacemcdougall (IRE)’s improvement in form on this occasion.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Charlie Price reported that Three Colours Red (IRE), placed seventh, hung left- handed in the straight.
